Cookie policy

This page explains what Maktib stores in your browser. We keep this deliberately minimal.

What we store

• Your shopping cart — saved in your browser's local storage so your basket survives a page refresh. It stays on your device, is never sent to advertisers, and is cleared when you complete an order or empty the cart.

• A session id — a random value kept in your browser's session storage for as long as the tab is open, used only to count how many people are on the site and where they are in checkout. It is not a cookie, it is not shared with anyone, it does not follow you between sites, and it disappears when you close the tab.

What we do not use

We do not run advertising cookies, cross-site trackers, social media pixels, or third-party analytics profiling. Because we set no non-essential cookies, there is no consent banner to click through — strictly necessary storage of this kind does not require consent under the ePrivacy Directive or UK PECR.

Third parties during checkout

When you proceed to payment you are taken to Whop, our payment processor. Whop sets its own cookies on its own pages, including ones needed for fraud prevention and security, governed by its own cookie and privacy policies.

Clearing what is stored

You can clear this at any time through your browser's settings for site data. Doing so empties your cart but has no other effect on your account or orders.
