Halloween Lights
Carved pumpkin lamps, ghost and skull figures, flame-effect bulbs and the projectors that put moving shadows on a wall or a lawn. Nearly all of it is decorative and short-run, so the thing to check is how it is powered and whether it survives a wet October night outside.

Choosing halloween lights
Flicker-flame bulbs in an existing porch fitting do more for an entrance than any amount of plastic, and they cost less. If it is going on a lawn or a path, insist on IP65 — IP44 handles a shower, not a night of rain. Orange and deep purple read as Halloween at a glance; green is the one that photographs badly.
