Choosing restaurant, café & bar lighting

Over a bar or a counter, hang pendants 28 to 34 inches above the surface and space them by their own diameter and a half. A high colour rendering index matters more in a restaurant than anywhere else: below CRI 90 food photographs badly and looks worse in person. Dimmable throughout, or the room has one setting for lunch and dinner both.
